Hi! My name is Richard, a little bit about our Society : “Clan Cumming(s) Society of Canada” was constituted in 1997, and our numbers have increase since; at the time I felt much empathy that my grandmother's heritage (of which I love dearly) was never represented on Canadian Soil every time I attended the various Ceiligh (Highland Games) in our my beloved Country, in passing it’s the only true blue Canadian Society in North America (La seul et unique Société en Amérique); our mission is to bring the spirit of family unity and friendship, the “C.C.S.O.C.” represents all Scots of any Clan and all others who wish they were Scots; it’s a non-profit, family oriented, cultural educational organization.
A brief history of our mutual and not to mention historical plus tragic past can be had here ; as far as the Canadian Clan President or Clan Commander is concern, that can be voted on, in one of the best country in the world, time shall have its way in this matter, intern I shall bow out when the time comes, reason being, my heritage is only in part, and as already elaborated my roots stem from my grandmother Cummings (what I have, I am very proud), she comes from Glengarry County in Ontario, and my French from Brittany in France, of which by the way, is also part of the Celtic Family Circle, not to mention that it is the Hart of the Celtic Nations.
